Cherubim, or cherubs, are angelic attendants of God. They are ranked second highest in the ninefold angelic celestial hierarchy, falling below only the Seraphim. Cherubim manifest throughout religious art in two very different forms throughout history. First is the Middle Eastern version; as a tetramorph, or symbolic form created by combining four disparate elements into a whole, that of a bull, a lion, an eagles’ wings, and a human face. The more commonly known representation is that of winged, chubby, beautiful children; meant to convey innocent souls. Our four-faced visage of the powerful cherubims borrows elements from both versions, contrasting a solid double-bladed knife with baby-faced cherubim tetramorph handle, enveloping between them an iridescent opal.

Factory sharp stainless steel blades make up a total of four edges and two points in a single piece construction. The cherubim that form the handle is cast from white resin. Both sides of the handle features genuine Swarovski crystals and glass opals, inlaid by hand.
