"Night of Pan" Short Sleeve Tee Shirt
In the Book of Lies, Aleister Crowley writes about the Night of Pan, or N.O.X.: an ecstatic state of ego death. N is the tarot symbol Death, O represents nothing (the womb), and X the cross (the phallus). In Greek mythology, the lecherous god Pan was a symbol of fertility and ecstasy. As a personification of nature Pan symbolizes all, both life AND death, diametrically opposed yet incapable of existing apart from one another. In the Night of Pan, the ego and its fanatical grip on the psyche are destroyed so that a greater sense of self can be achieved.
