Named for Nyx the Greek goddess of night and born of Chaos. In Greek mythology Chaos was the first thing that ever existed, the primeval void. The only personified deities born “of Chaos” were Nyx and Erebus (darkness). Standing at the beginning of creation Nyx appears rarely in surviving mythological works. When she is mentioned she is always painted powerful. Nyx goes on to birth to many personified deities such as: Thanatos (Death), Hypnos (Sleep), the Oneiroi (Dreams), Momus (Blame), Oizys (Pain, Distress), and the Moerae (Fates).
Like the goddess, the Nyx knife is proof that good things can be born of chaos. The skull and wings is hand done gold leaf with hand inlaid Swarovski ruby red crystal eyes. 440 stainless steel curved blade, liner locking system for extra stability when open.
